The New York Jets entered the 2024 NFL season with hopes of making a deep playoff run with quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally healthy.
After Rodgers played just four snaps during the 2023 season due to a torn Achilles tendon, the Jets were hoping to get a vintage Aaron Rodgers for this year. Unfortunately, they got an aged Rodgers, but it wasn't vintage.
The former NFL star quarterback has struggled with injuries over the course of the season, which NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport claimed he was avoiding imaging for.
It's been a disastrous season for the Jets, who fired head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas during the course of the year. At 3-8, the Jets have now been accused of "quitting" during the season.
"I don't think he's going to be in a Jets uniform next year," NFL insider Pete Prisco said bluntly. "I think whoever comes in there is going to change the entire thing and they have to. You made the move, you went and got him and it backfired on you."
[The Jets] don't tackle, they quit on tape, they're lazy... it's just not a good football team"

"Everything you did backfired on you. You traded for Davante Adams, 'Oh, new team, new offense look how happy Aaron Rodgers is,'" he mocked. "Hasn't changed anything. Defensively, they make the change in the coaching staff and make their defensive coordinator their head coach and the defense gets worse. They don't tackle, they quit on tape. They're lazy. It's just not a good football team."
The Jets are in the midst of a bye week so at least fans won't have to watch the debacle this weekend. When New York returns, it will host the Seattle Seahawks on December 1.
