NFL Team Will Have 3 Brothers In Training Camp

There have been plenty of great football families in NFL history, from the Mannings to the Watts to the Sharpes and many others. But how many families can claim to have three siblings all playing the same sport - on the same team no less?

The New York Jets could very well be the first.

On Thursday, linebacker Giovanni Williams of Miles College revealed that he's at the Jets' facility for their upcoming minicamp. Williams is the younger brother of two key members of the New York Jets defense: Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and All-Pro linebacker Quincy Williams.

Giovanni was a superb linebacker for the Miles College Golden Bears in Alabama. But as the team is in Division II, his only chance to showcase his talent was at the HBCU Pro Day. He subsequently went undrafted and was unsigned in the ensuing UDFA signing period.

His brothers, Quinnen and Quincy Williams were both drafted back in 2019.

Quinnen went No. 3 overall to the Jets after a standout career at Alabama. He has since emerged as one of the league's most dominant interior defensive linemen. He just made his third straight Pro Bowl and signed a four-year, $96 million contract with the team back in 2023.

Quincy was a third-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars out of Murray State. But he struggled with injuries in Jacksonville and was waived after two seasons. The Jets picked him up, put him in the middle of the linebacking corps and have seen him turn into one of the most reliable tacklers they've had in years.

Giovanni Williams has a tough road ahead of him to simply make it to the summer training camp, let alone the final 53-man roster.

But if he works his tail off and makes the team, the Jets will have not two, but three members of the same immediate family at the start of the season. And if Giovanni manages to get into the defense on gameday, we might see the first-ever set of three siblings on the field together at the same time.

Good luck, Giovanni. We're rooting for you to make some history.
