The Lions and Packers met earlier in the season. The Lions won that game with ease, 34-20, led by three touchdowns from running back David Montgomery. Shocker, he is at the top of the odds table for an anytime TD scorer this weekend at -145. That is not such a bad payoff given the season he is having but let's see if we can find some better values.
Montgomery, rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and top receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown are all under +100 for the Lions. The next best priced option for the Lions is rookie TE Sam Laporta. He did not find the end zone when these teams met in September but he was featured, hauling in four receptions for 56 yards, both second on the team for the game. He has four TDs on the season and is a great option in close. Last week he did not get a TD, but he did catch a critical two-point conversion late so it is not like they forgot about him.
There is no rocket science here. Doubs is the leading pass catcher for the Packers and has the most TDs on the team with seven. Running back AJ Dillon has lower odds but he is not a big play threat and I do not think he will be a major factor on Thursday. Doubs has a touchdown catch in four of his last five games and was featured heavily when these teams met in September even though he did not find the end zone — nine catches for 95 yards. All those signs point to a very likely chance of him finding the end zone.
