NFL 'TNF' player prop: No dissing Cousins

Having escaped Foxborough with a 25-20 victory in the opener, the Eagles return to Philadelphia to play their first game at Lincoln Financial Field since winning the NFC Championship there in late January. They welcome familiar foes in the Vikings, who come in off a surprising home loss to the Buccaneers. When these teams met at the same venue on "Monday Night Football" a year ago, the Eagles prevailed 24-7 — but in the rematch, the leader of the visitors gets our backing for top prop:

The bet: Over 262½ passing yards for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins (FanDuel)

Few players have endured more criticism for underperforming in big spots than Cousins, whose record in prime time stands at 11-18. But following a game in which he threw for 344 yards, there are ample reasons to think his production continues.

Last year’s midseason acquisition of tight end T.J. Hockenson has been a boon for the Minnesota air attack. In the eight games that Cousins has thrown more than 35 times since then, he is averaging 340 passing yards. And adding Biletnikoff Award–winning wideout Jordan Addison, who had four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in his debut, to an arsenal that already features Justin Jefferson makes this offense lethal.

The Philly pass defense just allowed 316 yards to Patriots QB Mac Jones and will now be without half of its starting secondary. Cornerback James Bradberry is in the concussion protocol and safety Reed Blankenship has a rib injury.

If Cousins can take advantage, we’ll like that!
