The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Cleveland in Week 4 to take on their AFC North rival Browns. Pittsburgh entered the matchup at 2-1 under 42-year-old veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers got off to a slow start this season but dominated in Week 3’s win against the Cincinnati Bengals, proving he still has more in the tank.
He completed 19 of 34 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Pittsburgh put up 30 points just one week after the New England Patriots defense held them to three.
This marks Rodgers’ first season in Pittsburgh under head coach Mike McCarthy, having spent last year under Mike Tomlin.
Rodgers and the Steelers offense scored on the opening drive of Thursday Night Football with a touchdown. However, they got some help from Cleveland’s defense along the way.
On 3rd and 16, Rodgers dropped back and completed a nine-yard pass to wide receiver Michael Pittman. Browns defensive tackle Maliek Collins then drilled Rodgers after the play, resulting in a roughing the passer penalty and a first down for Pittsburgh.
That penalty could carry consequences beyond the field. The NFL reviews all roughing the passer penalties to assess whether they warrant further punishment. For first-time offenders, per the NFL fines and appeals schedule, the cost would be $17,911. The league typically announces its decision after the week comes to a close.
Maliek Collins with some good… and some bad.

He sacks Aaron Rodgers on one play and then gets called for roughing the passer on the next.
The Browns got charged with three penalties on one play.
With a win on Thursday, the Steelers would take sole possession of first place in the AFC North, although there is plenty of football left to be played.
