After a few inexplicable losses in Week 10, let's check in on four potential NFL playoff teams and rank their issues on the panic meter.
Panic meter rating: 4/10
The Bills can't catch a break on the injury front. Buffalo currently has 13 defensive players hurt or on injured reserve. To make matters worse, tight end Dalton Kincaid and defensive end Landon Jackson suffered injuries in Week 10.
With multiple defensive starters out, the Bills allowed 370 yards and 7.0 yards per play to the Miami Dolphins in a 30-13 loss. On the offensive side, no one could create separation or get open for Josh Allen. That won't improve if Kincaid has to miss time. As embarrassing as Sunday's loss was, Buffalo just beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. This is still a Super Bowl contender if the defense can get healthy before the playoffs.
Panic meter rating: 8.5/10
The Jaguars had a prime opportunity to strengthen their position in the AFC playoff race in Week 10. Leading 29-10 in the fourth quarter against the Houston Texans, Jacksonville surrendered 26 straight points to Davis Mills, squandering a golden chance. The shocking loss dropped the Jags to 5-4, tying them with the Chiefs for seventh place in the AFC.
Jacksonville ranks 19th in the NFL in offensive success rate (44.0 percent) and 22nd in defensive success rate (46.6 percent), so it's hard to imagine this team holding off Kansas City in the playoff race.
Panic meter rating: 6.5/10
The Broncos are 8-2 and currently sit in the No. 2 spot in the AFC standings, but fans might not feel too confident about how the offense has performed lately. Over their last two games, Denver has scored only 28 total points and ranks 30th in the NFL in dropback success rate (39.6 percent). Bo Nix is 34-65 (52.3 percent) for 316 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during that span.

Denver's elite defense will keep the team alive in most games, but the ceiling is low if Nix continues to struggle. Week 11 will be a major test against Kansas City's aggressive defense.
Panic meter rating: 5.5/10
Another week, another brutal performance from McCarthy. In Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens, the second-year QB went 20-of-42 for 248 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Among the 41 quarterbacks who have played at least 60 snaps this season, McCarthy ranks last in EPA per play (-0.214) and expected completion percentage (62.6 percent) and 40th in completion percentage over expectation (-7.4) and success rate (39.2 percent).
McCarthy is only four games into his NFL career, so the Vikings shouldn't hit the panic button yet. However, early signs from McCarthy haven't been promising.
