NFL Week 11 fantasy: Surprises, disappointments & waiver adds

Earlier this season, it appeared Akers' career with the Rams was over as he was disgruntled with his playing time. He returned after LA retained him through the trade deadline and became the team's lead back on Sunday with 14 carries for 61 yards. Fantasy managers can't expect much if Matthew Stafford (concussion) is sidelined, but Akers is fantasy-relevant again.

Cleveland was playing catch-up against Buffalo for much of Sunday's game, and Brissett was the beneficiary. He was 28-of-41 for 324 yards and three touchdowns, garnering much of his production in garbage time.

Back from injury, Burks showed himself to be the No. 1 wideout Tennessee hoped for when they drafted him in the first round this year. He had seven catches for 111 yards in the Titans' upset win at Green Bay.

With Ezekiel Elliott back from injury, Pollard was expected to play second fiddle again. However, the two running backs each had 15 carries, and Pollard had one of the best games of his career with 80 rushing yards plus six catches for 109 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

An afterthought in the Chiefs' offense earlier in his career, Robinson continues to shine in Baltimore. He led all Ravens receivers with nine catches for 128 yards against Carolina.

The Giants and Barkley would likely to quickly forget Sunday's effort. The team was dominated by the Lions, and Barkley had only 15 carries for 22 yards, along with two catches for 13 yards.

Minnesota's strong run came to a screeching halt as they were blown out by Dallas at home. Cousins completed only 12-of-23 passes for 105 yards and was pulled late in the contest.

For the Texans' offense to be competitive, Pierce has to shine. That certainly didn't happen on Sunday, with 10 carries for eight yards and two catches for nine yards.

Williams returned from a high ankle sprain, playing for the first time in nearly a month, but he was forced to leave after reaggravating the injury after one catch. The hope is that he will be able to play again this fantasy season.

It was expected Wilson would struggle again vs. Bill Belichick's defense, but he couldn't have played much worse in a 10-3 loss on Sunday. He completed only 9-of-22 passes for 77 yards and added three rushes for 26 yards. The whispers of a benching are getting louder.

Buffalo's running game is starting to take shape as we progress into the colder months, and Cook earned more carries after his play against Cleveland. He bludgeoned the maligned Browns offense with 11 carries for 86 yards.

Jones has been inactive in every game for the Chiefs this season, but that's likely to change next week after Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a high ankle sprain. The former Bucs running back is capable, if his history is any indication, and could find the field in KC's running back committee.

Moore has struggled for much of his rookie season, but he made the most of his opportunity on Sunday with JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Mecole Hardman injured, and Kadarius Toney getting hurt during the game. Finishing with five catches for 63 yards, Moore proved capable and should continue to see consistent work if his teammates remain sidelined.

Usually Cincinnati's third-down back, Perine is a must-add if Joe Mixon is forced to miss additional time due to a concussion. Perine had only 11 carries for 30 yards, but he was a huge factor as a receiver, with four catches for 52 yards and three touchdowns.

Matthew Stafford suffered what appears to be his second concussion in three weeks in the Rams Week 11 loss. With the offensive line in shambles, the Rams might opt to protect Stafford from himself for the foreseeable future. While Wolford struggled against Arizona last week and missed Sunday's game with a neck injury, the high likelihood that the team will play from behind going forward could allow the backup quarterback and pile up numbers on the stats sheet.
