Three underdogs who can pull off upsets on the week 15 NFL slate.
Baltimore Ravens (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals (+2.5)
The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Ravens this Sunday as home underdogs, and they will be looking to complete the sweep for the 2025 season. The Bengals took down the Ravens on the road Thanksgiving night, and it wouldn’t be shocking if the Bengals did again at home.
After five straight wins, the Ravens have been reeling a bit with two straight losses coming to the Bengals and Steelers. The last couple of weeks, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has not been playing great football. In his last five gams, he has two passing touchdowns to four interceptions. In the previous matchup against Cincy, a 32-14 loss, he lost two fumbles and threw an interception.
Joe Burrow played well against Baltimore in his first game back from injury. Sunday will be his third, and even though Cincy could be without Tee Higgins, Burrow has shown that he can still make things difficult for the Ravens’ defense.
Buffalo Bills (-1.5) at New England Patriots (+1.5)
The Patriots are slight underdogs to the Bills at home in a game with some significant accolades at stake for New England. With a win on Sunday, the Patriots could clinch a playoff berth and the AFC East Division, assuring they will have at least one home game in the playoffs and a top-four seed.
New England is coming off a bye and will be refreshed as it takes on the Bills. They also took the first matchup in a close game against the Bills, so it isn’t like New England wouldn’t know how to beat the Bills. Drake Maye has been playing at an MVP level, and he could very well win it this season if he is able to get a big win on Sunday and put the league on notice by sweeping the Buffalo Bills.
LA Chargers (+4.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5)
The Chargers could all but close the door on the Chiefs’ playoff hopes with a road win on Sunday. It will be the second matchup between these two teams, as the Chargers took the first win in Brazil to open up the season. The Chiefs badly need this win to gain any ground on the Chargers, who currently hold one of the three wildcard spots in the AFC.
The Chargers somehow defeated the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles at home, serving as underdogs on Monday Night Football in Week 14, despite allowing a pressure rate of over 70 percent on quarterback Justin Herbert. The Chargers’ defense had one of the better performances of the season, forcing four interceptions on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Patrick Mahomes has been turnover-prone in his last couple of games, as he had three interceptions himself against the Texans on Sunday Night Football in week 14. Even if the offense can’t get things going against the Chiefs, the Chargers’ defense has shown they are plenty capable of forcing opposing quarterbacks into errors.
Herbert continues to deal with a broken non-throwing hand, so if Herbert can make a couple of good plays for the Chargers while the defense takes care of the rest, that might be enough to eliminate the Chiefs’ playoff hopes.
