NFL Week 6: Dougherty's 'Beat the Line' bets

Coming off another 2-1 week against the spread in our "Beat the Line" series, we're aiming to keep the good times rolling as we look ahead to NFL Week 6. Here are the three bets we think could give us closing line value before kickoff.

Season record: 7-4-1 ATS, 6-5-1 CLV

Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia Eagles + Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints

We love the spot for both the Eagles and Buccaneers in these respective matchups. The Eagles are coming off a bye and should be getting A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson back from injury, while the Browns are decimated along the offensive line and have 14 defensive players on the injury report after losing multiple starters against the Washington Commanders. This could look like a preseason roster by next Sunday.

As for the Bucs, they're coming off a mini-bye after playing on "Thursday Night Football" last week, and they get to play the Saints off a "Monday Night Football" game with only five days of rest. Tampa Bay could close closer to a pick'em depending on how they fare on "MNF" against the Kansas City Chiefs. We're locking in this teaser before the spreads move off these key numbers. The bet to make: Six-point teaser Eagles -2.5/Buccaneers +8 (-120 DraftKings)

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Las Vegas Raiders

Sunday, Oct. 13, 4:05 p.m. ET

This won't be a fun game to watch, but that gives us a chance to make money on it. Both the Steelers and Raiders love to run the ball and win with defense. Las Vegas hasn't been successful at executing that strategy this season, and the passing game struggled so much last week that Antonio Pierce benched Gardner Minshew for Aidan O'Connell. No matter who starts at quarterback, it's hard to imagine the Raiders putting up more than 14 points against a Steelers defense that ranks second in the NFL in points allowed per game.

The Steelers may have a decision to make regarding their quarterback room, too. Russell Wilson will be healthy enough to return in Week 6, so we might see both him and Justin Fields next Sunday. Using two quarterbacks is a disaster for offensive chemistry in the NFL, so we're expecting minimal offense in this one. The bet to make: Under 37 (-110 BetMGM)

Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Giants

Sunday, Oct. 13, 8:20 p.m. ET

Ever since their sloppy loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1, the Bengals have been the most profitable over team in the NFL. Cincinnati is averaging 32.5 points per game while giving up 32.3 points per game in that stretch, and all four games have flown over this total. Joe Burrow continues to look better and better as the defense continues to look worse and worse, which is a delicious recipe for another over.

On the other side, the Giants just rolled over the Seattle Seahawks for 29 points and 420 yards of offense without Malik Nabers. The rookie phenom should be back on the field next Sunday night, and he'll have his way with this secondary. Grab this before it hits the key number of 49. The bet to make: Over 48.5 (-110 FD)
