We're officially halfway through the NFL regular season, and one thing that hasn't changed on the betting front is how the under continues to hit. But that's not the only thing that has remained intact. The Eagles are still undefeated, the Packers look lost and the NFC South still doesn't have a team above .500. However, certain aspects of the NFL betting landscape have started to shift, and were happy to share them with you.
Unders dominate, again
The under failed to finish .500 or better for the first time last week, but that was far from the case this week. The under went 9-4 in Week 9, and is hitting at a record pace of 58%.
Eagles hold off Texans on Thursday Night, remain undefeated
The Eagles remain unbeaten after defeating the Houston Texans, 29-17, on Thursday. 8-0 Philadelphia hosts the Washington Commanders on Monday night, and are 9/1 to finish the regular season 17-0, and 25/1 to go 20-0.
Colts fire Frank Reich, name Jeff Saturday interim head coach
If you put money on Frank Reich to be the second head coach fired this season, well, congratulations, you just made some serious money. Indianapolis fired Reich on Monday after the Colts lost their third straight game on Sunday to the New England Patriots, and named Jeff Saturday as the team's interim head coach. Saturday spent 13 of his 14 seasons in the NFL with the Colts, and was most recently a consultant for the Colts. Prior to Reich's firing, Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury was the consensus favorite to be the next NFL head coach fired. Matt Rhule was the first NFL head coach to be fired after the Carolina Panthers fired Rhule last month.
Titans cover for sixth straight game, move into tie for best ATS record
The Titans may have had their five-game winning streak snapped on Sunday against the Chiefs, but Tennessee did cover the spread for the sixth straight game, and are now tied with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants for the best ATS record at 6-2. Tennessee (+12.5) lost to Kansas City, 20-17, in overtime on Sunday night.
Bucs snap 3-game skid, NFC South still without a team above .500
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers snapped their three-game losing streak against the Rams on Sunday, but despite moving into a first-place tie with Atlanta, the NFC South still remains the only division in the NFL without a team above .500. Atlanta and Tampa Bay are 4-5, followed by New Orleans at 3-7, and Carolina at 3-7.
Week 9 Parlay Winners
Who said parlays never win? Don't tell these two bettors that. One bettor won over $38,000 on a 4-Leg Multi-Touchdown Same-Game Parlay Plus, while another bettor won just under $70,000 on a $50 13-leg parlay.
Heading into Week 10
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers had to have snapped their four-game losing streak on Sunday against the one-win Lions, right? Well, think again. Green Bay has dropped five straight after losing to Detroit, 15-9 on Sunday. The Packers five-game losing streak is the team's first since 2008, which was Rodgers' first season as the starter.
The NFL resumes its International Series on Sunday in Germany with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers serving as the home team against the Seattle Seahawks. The designated "road team" has yet to lose in the NFL's first three NFL International Games this season.
The Houston Texans are now the worst team in the NFL after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. The Texans are 1-6-1 and have lost three straight games.
