NFL world reacts with wonder as RB Frank Gore returns for 16th season

The “Inconvenient Truth” is returning for yet another go at it. The New York Jets reportedly signed running back Frank Gore on Tuesday. Gore will return for his 16th NFL season.

It really is something to behold. Running backs tend to have about six or seven good seasons in them. A third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers in 2005, Gore put up 1,200-plus total yards every season from 2006-17.

Ranked third on the all-time list in rushing yards (15,347) behind Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton, Gore’s career has been among the most-astonishing in modern sports history. He turns 37 next week.

Needless to say, Gore's return in 2020 had the NFL world buzzing.
