Philadelphia Eagles fans have seen enough of Nick Sirianni after he botched the end of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Eagles lost to the Jaguars 19-17 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London when kicker Cam Little hit a walk-off 57-yard field goal. The Eagles thought they had won the game with a field goal of their own with eight seconds left, but the team inexplicably gave Ameer Abdullah a chance to return the ensuing kick.
Abdullah managed to break off a big return to get the ball to Philadelphia’s 40-yard line, which was just enough for Little to convert the kick.
The final sequence for the @Jaguars to get the win in London was truly WILD. https://t.co/5viJ5yIdIX

Most were baffled at Sirianni’s decision to essentially run a standard kickoff that gave the Jaguars a chance to make a play and win the game. CBS Sports analyst Damien Harris went as far as to call it “coaching malpractice.”
"I can’t even comprehend what I just watched, the fact that Nick Sirianni put the Eagles in a position to lose this football game … it was nothing short of coaching malpractice." @DHx34 on the Eagles loss to Jaguars. https://t.co/CCxNDOLGiZ

Other fans felt that Sirianni’s mismanagement of the game qualified as a fireable offense.
you could honestly fire Sirianni for that clock management

That is all on Nick Sirianni.

The decision to not kick that ball out of the end zone is legitimately fireable. That is the one thing you could not have done. Absolutely miserable game management.

#Eagles will never truly reach their potential with Nick Sirianni at head coach. Everything they’ve done has always been in spite of him, never because of him. Philly’s defense played well enough to win… again — Vic Fangio should quit on this team & “coach” on the flight home.

This is hardly the first time Eagles fans have gotten on Sirianni for questionable clock management. In this instance, it arguably cost his team a game, and it is happening in a season where the team is off to an underwhelming 2-3 start.
The Eagles did hand Sirianni a multi-year contract extension a little over a year ago. Fans may be tiring of him, but there are no indications that the organization itself is even thinking about dumping him.
