The Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium is one of the least congested stadiums in the NFL. Read on for further details surrounding the Texans’ stadium and gameday commute in general.
New research revealed that the Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium is one of the top 10 least congested stadiums in the NFL. Texans and opposing teams’ fans can rest assured that the commute before and after the game will be easy and without hiccups.
Pickswise conducted the study with the help of sports picks, parlays, and predictions specialists. Pickswise also analyzed congestion levels around each NFL stadium on Sunday gamedays at 4:00 p.m. local time, measured how long it takes to travel 10 miles at evening rush hour, and considered local pollution levels around each stadium to give a total score out of 100.
The Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium ranked sixth among the least congested NFL stadiums with a score of 61.6 out of 100. The Texans’ gameday congestion around NRG Stadium stands at 20%, which is 5.3% less than the NFL average of 25.3% and the seventh-best figure in the league.
The Texans’ pollution levels are also the second-lowest of all teams, with an IQAir air quality index level of just 21, less than half the NFL average of 42.4. The only factor letting the Texans down is the time to travel 10 miles during peak periods. Fans can expect some traffic if traveling farther away. However, this is still the 13th quickest at 18 minutes and 56 seconds.
NRG Stadium is the home of the Houston Texans. NRG Stadium’s not perfect, but it’s still in the second half of Pickwise’s top 10 least congested NFL stadiums list. NRG Stadium is above the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, and Indianapolis Colts, but trails the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions.
