Over the weekend, the Ole Miss staff extended an offer to Bishop Feehan (Mass.) offensive lineman Kane Mankins.

The 6-foot-4, 250 pound prospect announced the offer Sunday as offensive line coach John Garrison and director of player personnel Mike Williams let Mankins know he now holds an offer to play football in the Southeastern Conference.

As of this writing, Mankins holds offers from Bryant University, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Arkansas State, Akron, and Maine. His older brother, Case Mankins, currently plays for the Rhode Island Rams.

Kane Mankins father played in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI with the New England Patriots.

The older Mankins was a dominant interior offensive lineman in the NFL, most notably with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady in Foxboro. After spending eight years with the Patriots, he played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, received multiple All-Pro selections, and was named to the 2010s All-Decade Team.

Mankins was raised on a ranch in California and has always said he credits his resilience and work ethic to hard days work outside for his family. He was a standout player at Fresno State – earning Freshman All-American honors, set school records up front, and was drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft.

Now, the former Super Bowl champ's son is coming up and starting to receive some major attention from Power 4 programs.

As a junior, the younger Mankins was a standout defensively for Bishop Feehan in the CCL. He was named a CCL All-Star, CCL Lineman of the Year, and Fred Pardey Lineman of Year. In 2024, he finished with 75 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and six sacks.

Mankins' older brother appeared in all 14 games for the Rams as a sophomore. He finished with 24 tackles, four tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. Rhode Island finished the season with an 11-3 record, CAA title and an appearance in the second round of the FCS Playoffs. It was the first league title in 39 years and the first CAA Football title. Overall, it is the program's seventh title, with each of the previous six coming in the Yankee Conference.

So far through two games in 2025, Rhode Island is 2-0 and Case has 13 tackles, two forced fumbles, one sack, and tackle for loss.
