Ole Miss Star Jaxson Dart Changes Decision On Attending NFL Draft

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has apparently changed his plans for next week's NFL Draft.

Dart is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 class. During his three-year stint at Ole Miss, he completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 10,617 yards with 72 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. Some analysts have him going in the first round, whereas others expect him to be a Day 2 pick.

All we can say for certain is that Dart won't be able to shake NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's hand on Thursday night.

Initially, Dart was on the list of draft attendees. On Friday, however, Ben Volin of the Boston Globe revealed the Ole Miss quarterback is no longer making the trip to Green Bay.

Dart hasn't announced his plans for the draft, but if he's not going to the actual event, he'll probably spend time with his loved ones.

As for where Dart will end up, NFL insider Jordan Schultz mentioned the New York Giants as a potential suitor.

"Should the Giants pass on Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 pick, keep an eye out for Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, whose swashbuckling style and flair for the dramatic seems tailor-made for New York, and who I'm told head coach Brian Daboll likes," Schultz said. "Dart might not be for everyone, but as we explored in last week's column, there's a lot to work with — particularly in the form of leadership. Several sources have indicated he won't fall out of the first round, so perhaps Giants general manager Joe Schoen takes either Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter — whomever the Browns don't take at No. 2 — and then moves up from No. 34 to grab Dart."

We'll find out next week which team will pull the trigger on Dart.
