Ole Miss might be ranked - 15th in the Coaches and 21st in the AP - but it's flying under the radar.

It lost its starting quarterback (Jaxson Dart) to the New York Giants, there wasn't much happening through he portal - at least compared to the last few years - and it's not getting the "it" team at the moment.

With Kentucky next, and Arkansas to follow, the hype can crank up fast with a hot start.

Georgia State has a nasty schedule, but second-year head coach Dell McGee has the right combination of experience and new help from the transfer portal to be dangerous.

Why Georgia State Will Win

The Panther defense might have a few issues with the Ole Miss offense, but the other side of the ball has the passing potential to at least make this interesting for a while.

Georgia State cranked up the running backs through the portal - including former Ole Miss back Rashad Amos - and the line got a whole lot better with the reinforcements coming in. But to do this, and to make this any sort of a game, the quarterbacks have to bomb away.

Christian Veilleux has to chill on the interceptions, but he should be the main man for now. There are other options, but if he gets time, he can push the ball all around the yard against a reworked Rebel secondary. However ...
