One Las Vegas Raiders rookie just got the one co-sign he needed before starting his career

The Las Vegas Raiders franchise isn't necessarily known for having some of the best running backs in NFL history. They have had some pretty iconic names like Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen, but they have never had more than a few guys who have had crazy careers at the position.

But the fan base values running backs and what they can do for a team and a franchise. They value what the RB does for a good offense, and they have seen that even recently with Josh Jacobs, who, unfortunately for the fan base, is on the Green Bay Packers now, and thriving.

Even then, this fan base was pretty split down the middle on their team taking Ashton Jeanty at No. 6 in the 2025 NFL Draft. Some would have rather the Raiders go with the positional value approach and take an RB in Round 2. And some would have rather the first pick be a player in the trenches or even a QB.

But, the pick is done, and the Raiders are confident that Jeanty was the right pick. Not only that but Jeanty has already been co-signed by one of the people that matters most to him now.

"Ashton Jeanty is an incredible running back, great competitor, great person, and I know he's going to come in and do everything he possibly can to make the Raiders feel that they made the right choice," legendary Raiders RB Marcus Allen said.

"So, I'm looking forward to it. He is the quintessential running back. He has all of the tools. He can catch, he can run, he has great balance, he has great vision, and he has speed. So, I'm looking forward to, really, and actually an explosive offense, now. We have a lot of weapons now. We have some young talent out there, which is nice to see."

Marcus Allen may not be the most loved Raiders running back of all time, but he is the best, and the numbers speak for themselves. The Hall of Famer has the most rushing yards in the history of the franchise, with a gap between the second most, that's almost three thousand yards, with Mark Van Eeghan second, and Josh Jacobs third.

Allen also has the most touchdowns with 79, with Pete Banaszak in second with 47. So, yes, Allen is the undisputed best RB in franchise history. He also has the 14th most rushing yards in NFL history with over 12 thousand, with over eight thousand of those yards coming while wearing silver and black.

So, yes, it is important that Jeanty hears the best to ever do it for his new team, co-sign him. And, that's exactly what Allen did, because he thinks Jeanty will also be great.
