For the third time in as many offseasons, Aaron Rodgers has yet to make up his mind about his future.
The future Hall of Famer doesn't know whether he's going to come back for another season, and he's an unrestricted free agent.
As such, he can sign with any team he pleases, but with the shrinking pool of options, at least to be a starter, he doesn't have many destinations to choose from.
That's why, even though he might feel tempted to pursue a new challenge, only returning to the Pittsburgh Steelers makes sense for him right now.
Rodgers completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 16 games for the Steelers last season, according to Football Reference.
That's a down year for him, but it would be a career year for most NFL quarterbacks. He clearly still has something left in the tank, and he's already won one Super Bowl with new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy.
He could join the Las Vegas Raiders and mentor Fernando Mendoza, but that would have an expiration date, as he may not even finish the season as the starter.
Other teams with potential QB1 openings, such as the Cleveland Browns or Arizona Cardinals, may not be interested in his services, and his tenure with the New York Jets didn't end well.
Rodgers may not have any sort of interest in being a backup, and that's perfectly fine. So, if he wants to play for another season, Pittsburgh is clearly the place to be.
