Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings for a Week 12 matchup. They're looking to remain in the win column after defeating the New York Giants 27-20 last week.

In that win, Jacobs rushed the ball seven times for 40 yards. Unfortunately, during the first half, the running back suffered a knee injury and never returned. In the Packers' first injury report on Wednesday, he was listed as a non-participant.

At 6-3-1, the Packers are second in the NFC North behind the 7-3 Chicago Bears. This matchup against the Vikings provides Green Bay with an opportunity to pick up a big divisional win.

Unfortunately, the running back's injury and missing Wednesday's practice have called into question whether he'll be available.

However, on Thursday, The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported that head coach Matt LaFleur revealed Jacobs participated in at least individual drills, showing a step in the right direction.

"Josh Jacobs will participate in at least individual drills today, Matt LaFleur says," Schneidman wrote.

Through 10 games, he's been one of the Packers' most productive players. Jacobs leads the team in carries (169), yards (648) and touchdowns (11). He also has 28 receptions for 237 yards.

His importance to the offense is clear. Following Jacobs' two rushing touchdowns in Week 7, quarterback Jordan Love said, "I mean, Josh is a dog. He's obviously battling through some things, but he's one of those guys you know you're going to get his best every time."

The Vikings rank 22nd in rushing yards per game allowed (127). It's an area the Packers can attack, meaning there's even more pressure for Jacobs to suit up. Green Bay will announce his official game status on Friday.

Kickoff between the Packers and Vikings is Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field, airing on Fox.
