Green Bay Packers defensive end Collin Oliver may be known more for his moniker than his actual name.
Since getting activated from the PUP list in December, Oliver has been referred to by many as “Baby Micah,” a clear reference to his abilities on the field and, of course, superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons, who is done for the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury he suffered in a game against the Denver Broncos on the road in Week 15.
But does he even want to be called Baby Micah in the first place?
Apparently, Oliver isn’t really feeling the nickname.
Via Zach Kruse of Packers Wire:
Packers rookie Collin Oliver on being called “Baby Micah” by teammates: “I’d rather not be called that, not going to lie. I’m my own man. Micah is Micah Parsons. I’m not even going to entertain that. I’m Collin Oliver.”
That’s a fair answer from Oliver, who was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by Green Bay. He showed respect for Parsons while at the same time sending a clear message about carving his own path in the league.
A product of the Oklahoma State Cowboys football program, Oliver made his NFL debut in Week 18’s regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings on the road, recording a tackle and a couple of quarterback hits.
Oliver, who played just two games in 2024 with Oklahoma State because of a foot injury, is still learning his way in the pros, but given his potential (as evidenced by his nickname), he could turn out to be a very useful member of Green Bay’s defense.
