Aside from a few hiccups, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been remarkably consistent this season. In fact, eight games into the 2026 campaign, he’s on pace for a career year.
Love isn’t usually mentioned alongside the upper echelon group of quarterbacks, but according to Pro Football Focus’ rankings, he’s among the top 10. PFF ranked Love ninth ahead of Week 9, behind only C.J. Stroud, Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Brock Purdy, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow.
“After taking a step back in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions, Love bounced back with a solid performance in the Packers’ win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night,” Gordon McGuinness of PFF wrote. “He did compile three turnover-worthy plays but also had a pair of big-time throws, finishing the game with a 76.3 PFF grade.”
Love continues to climb the PFF rankings, jumping up two spots from last week, and rightfully so.
Following an underwhelming Week 7, Love rebounded last Thursday in the Packers’ 27-19 win over the Carolina Panthers. Love completed 73.2 percent of his passes (30-of-41) for 288 yards with a season-high three touchdowns.
Love leads the NFL in passing yards (2,246) and ranks fourth in touchdown passes (16), trailing only Trevor Lawrence (17), Kirk Cousins (19), and Burrow (20).
On Sunday, the Packers and Jordan Love will take on the 5-3 New England Patriots, backed by the NFL’s eighth-ranked defense.
Through eight games, the Patriots have recorded a 39.7 percent pressure rate, which is the fifth-highest in the league. Only the Atlanta Falcons (41.6 percent), Denver Broncos (41.9 percent), Seattle Seahawks (43.1 percent), and Minnesota Vikings (45.4 percent) have generated a higher pressure rate this season.
Meanwhile, New England has held three teams to under 200 yards passing this season. In Week 8, former Packer Malik Willis completed 21 of 32 passes in the Miami Dolphins’ 24-19 loss to the Patriots, but threw for only 211 yards, averaging just 6.4 yards per attempt.
