The Green Bay Packers got their money’s worth on superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons last Sunday, as he led the team’s defense in stopping the Arizona Cardinals in a 27-13 win on the road. Even though Green Bay was not at full strength on defense, Parsons and company stepped up when it mattered the most, helping the Packers hold on to their slim lead.

Green Bay was without third-year linebacker Lukas Van Ness, but Green Bay collected a total of six sacks at the expense of Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

Injured Van Ness left impressed by Parsons’ big Week 7 Packers win against the Cardinals

Van Ness didn’t see action on the field against the Cardinals, as he was ruled out for the contest with a foot injury. But he made sure to watch his teammates hand Arizona the business, particularly Parsons and the team’s stop unit. Parsons was a one-man wrecking machine in the fourth quarter, where he had two of his career-high three sacks.

Following the game, Van Ness reposted a video of Parsons’ third sack in the contest and captioned it with “3 of them

Atta boy Uno @micahparsons11.”

Van Ness, who has 1.5 sacks on the season, could sit out another game in Week 8 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I’m not overly optimistic, but we’ll see,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said on Monday of the former Iowa Hawkeyes star’s status for Week 8, per Justis Mosqueda of Acme Packing Company.
