The Green Bay Packers are fresh off their bye week, with an upcoming Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Green Bay is looking to build off its 2-1-1 record, facing quarterback Joe Flacco for the second time this season after the former Cleveland Browns signal-caller was traded to the Bengals.
The bye week offered an opportunity for several players to get back to full strength. The only players who did not participate in Wednesday's practice were defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt and offensive tackle Anthony Belton.
However, while talking to reporters on Thursday, head coach Matt LaFleur revealed a scary development on veteran kicker Brandon McManus.
During Wednesday's practice, McManus hurt his right quad, putting his availability against the Bengals in question.
It's "a major concern right now," LaFleur said of McManus' injury, according to Mike Spofford of Packers.com.
Packers K Brandon McManus injured his right quad in practice yesterday. On Thursday, Head Coach Matt LaFleur termed it "a major concern right now." Said they'll have a plan if McManus is unable to play.

Through the first four games of the season, McManus has been solid. He has gone 7-for-9 on field-goal attempts and 11-for-12 on extra point attempts. The 34-year-old veteran is in the first season of a three-year, $15.3 million contract.
Spofford noted that LaFleur ensured that if McManus was unable to play, then there would be a plan in place. That could mean elevating Mark McNamee from the practice squad.
McNamee has yet to see a snap in the NFL after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. Hailing from County Dublin, Ireland, he did not play any college football, but was a goalkeeper in Gaelic football for Ballyboden St Endas, according to the Packers' website.
There's hope McManus will be good to go, but the Packers and LaFleur may need to rely on McNamee to perform well in his NFL debut.
