Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons had quite a Week 7 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Packers escaped with a 27-23 win against Jacoby Brissett and the Cards, a victory they probably wouldn’t have pulled off if not for Parsons’ great individual effort.
Parsons wreaked havoc defensively on the Cardinals, as he came up with five total tackles to go with a career-high three sacks and five quarterback hits for Green Bay’s stop unit that allowed Arizona to pick up 330 total yards.
Since becoming a Packer, Parsons has always dealt with opponents sending multiple blockers to slow him down. But the Cardinals didn’t seem as interested in using that tactic on the four-time Pro Bowler, which led to a big night for Parsons.
Micah Parsons doesn’t believe his career-high 3 sacks today was his best game as a pass rusher. He just got more 1v1s than most weeks, something that surprised everyone, Parsons included.
“I tell coach all the time, if I’ve got a 1 on 1, I like myself 8 out of 10 times.”
With his performance against the Cardinals, Parsons has raised his 2025 numbers to 5.5 sacks and 16 total tackles. He can add more in Week 8, when Green Bay aims to win its third game in a row in a showdown against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road on Oct. 26.
