Green Bay Packers superstar defensive end Micah Parsons has a long way to go before he fully recovers from a lower-body injury he suffered near the end of the 2025 NFL regular season. But the five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher is yearning for some action — not just on the football field.
Recently, the former Penn State Nittany Lions star posted a message via Instagram Stories, saying, “I might have to [come back].” The post came with a video of his performance at the 2024 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
During that exhibition basketball game, Parsons showed that his talents go way beyond the sport of football. He led Team Shannon to a 100-91 victory over Team Stephen A., as the then-Dallas Cowboys star went off for 37 points to go along with 16 rebounds. He also came away with the MVP trophy for that contest.
As described by NBA.com, “Parsons seized MVP with monstrous dunks, aggressive downhill drives, and an array of moves, not to mention brute strength and aggression.”
Parsons apparently keeps that kind of mentality even when he’s playing another sport.
And it’s the same approach he has in his journey to a full recovery from the ACL tear he suffered against the Denver Broncos on the road in Week 15.
In his first season with Green Bay, Parsons compiled 12.5 sacks and 19 solo tackles through 14 games.
