Xavier McKinney experienced a breakout year with the Green Bay Packers in 2024. After four seasons with the New York Giants, the veteran safety saw a major uptick in production in his fifth NFL season.

Through 17 regular-season games in his first campaign with the Packers, McKinney recorded 88 tackles, 11 passes defended, 1.0 sacks, a fumble recovery and a career-high eight interceptions.

Behind these statistics, McKinney earned his first Pro-Bowl selection in 2024.

The NFL recognized McKinney for his elite play on Monday, naming him the No. 30 overall player on the 2025 NFL Top 100 list.

"In his first season with the Packers, McKinney had a career year with eight interceptions and earned a Pro Bowl nod," Christian Gonzalez of NFL.com writes. "His ball-hawking skills in Green Bay’s defense led the unit to ranking sixth in team defense. McKinney's impact in Green Bay was also noticed by the rest of the league as he made the first-team All-Pro roster. After earning a big payday last offseason, McKinney can now add making the Top 100 list to his résumé."

The Packers took to social media to react to this NFL announcement.

"Xavier McHIMmey. X clocks into the #NFLTop100 at 30," the team wrote on X.

McKinney, 27, has the respect of some of the best defensive backs in the NFL.

"I think he's very smart," Patrick Surtain II said in the NFL's Top 100 video. "You know, he roams in the middle of the field. I think he understands concepts like before they happen. He'd be at the right place at the right time."

This is McKinney's first-career appearance on the NFL Top 100 list.

McKinney and the Packers will kickoff their 2025 regular-season NFL schedule with a Week 1 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sep. 7.
