A day ago, we wrote about the concern the Green Bay Packers had with cornerback Nate Hobbs and wide receiver Jayden Reed not practicing. Well, the latest update could not have been any better for the Packers. Both players were limited, but participated in practice this Thursday.

Hobbs is recovering from a knee injury, while Reed has a foot issue . There will be more clarity on Friday about their status for Sunday's game, the regular season opener against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

Hobbs and Reed's injuries

Nate Hobbs, signed in free agency back in March, had a minor knee surgery in early August. He was expected to return in three weeks and be ready in time to play the first regular season games. At the time, the Packers indicated that Hobbs could have played through the injury, but since there was enough time to recover, the team went the prudent route. It's been four weeks since the surgery, but now it finally feels like Hobbs is getting ready to play.

Jayden Reed reportedly suffered a Jones fracture in his foot. This is a more detailed issue, but Reed did practice on Monday—although there wasn’t an injury report that day. Reed had told the media on Wednesday that the plan was for him to sit and rehab for a day. He expects to be limited throughout the week, and his return is a positive sign.

More injury report notes

> Those two were the only injury updates compared to Wednesday's report. Which means quarterback Jordan Love was again a full participant, despite his left thumb injury suffered in the preseason.

> Safety Zayne Anderson (knee), center Elgton Jenkins (hip), edge defender Micah Parsons (back), edge defender Barryn Sorrell (knee), wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf), and wide receiver Savion Williams (hamstring) were all limited.

> Yes, you read it correctly. All members of the 53-man roster were available in some form to practice on Thursday.

The other side

> On the Lions, backup guard Kayode Awosika was elevated to a full participant despite a shoulder injury.

> Backup tackle Jamarco Jones was added to the injury report and limited with an ankle injury. Wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa was also limited with an illness.

> Linebacker Trevor Nowaske (elbow) and running back Sione Vaki (hamstring) did not participate once again.
