The Green Bay Packers went all-in before the 2025 NFL season when they pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys for defensive end Micah Parsons . Green Bay gave away two first-round draft picks and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark then signed Parsons to a four-year, $188 million contract, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
The Packers' investment paid off. Parsons led the team and finished seventh in the NFL with 12.5 sacks in just 14 games. The star power of Parsons on defense combined with quarterback Jordan Love at the controls on offense helped Green Bay to a 9-7-1 record and the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs.
When the Packers travel to Soldier Field to face the No. 2 seed Chicago Bears in the wild-card round on Saturday, they will be without Parsons, who suffered a torn ACL in a Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Nonetheless, Parsons' performance in his first season in Green Bay was honored on Saturday with a spot on the 2025 AP NFL All-Pro First Team. His team shared the news with a congratulatory post on social media that highlighted his exceptional impact.
"1 of 1," the Packers wrote in a post on X. "Congrats to @MicahhParsons11 on first-team All-Pro honors."

It was the fourth time in Parsons' five NFL seasons that he has made an All-Pro team. He was on the first team in 2021 and 2022, followed by a second-team nod in 2023 during his tenure with the Cowboys.
After missing out last year and suffering his injury as he was getting back to unstoppable form, Parsons said this year's honor lifted his spirits at an important time.
“Needed that for real,” said Parsons. “Look forward to trying to get back to that same status this offseason.”
Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns and Will Anderson Jr. of the Houston Texans were the other edge rushers on the All-Pro first team. Packers safety Xavier McKinney was the only other All-Pro representative from Green Bay, making the second team.
The Packers-Bears game kicks off at 8 p.m. ET Saturday and will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
