Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft managed to suit up against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday despite tweaking his knee during practice. However, it appears that he’s still not completely over that injury scare. Kraft only practiced in limited fashion on Thursday, as he continues to work his way back to 100 percent form.
It remains to be seen how he’d fare against Week 4’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but it’s a good sign that he played in the Browns game with an 88 percent snap share.
Kraft broke his silence about his injury on Thursday, saying that he hurt his knee while trying to block. He also corrected earlier reporters about the sleeve he’s wearing, heading into the Cowboys game.
Via Rob Demovsky of ESPN:
Packers TE Tucker Kraft, speaking for the first time since his knee injury in practice last Thursday, said it “got extended in a weird way” while blocking. Confirmed that’s why he’s been wearing the sleeve on his right leg. Initial reports that it was left knee were incorrect.
Kraft’s injury (and the Browns’ stout defense) greatly took away from the momentum that he carried into Week 3 following a huge performance in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field. He had 124 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions and seven targets versus the Commanders, and only 29 receiving yards on three catches and nine targets in the loss to the Browns.
