The Carolina Panthers aim to see more explosive play from Bryce Young and company. The NFC South champs ended up having a blast in rolling out the 2026 schedule, literally.
Members of the Panthers and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department bomb squad dropped a unique release video Thursday. They handed NFL schedule announcements a brand new fiery twist.
Players are wearing protective eye gear, headphones, but then watching items blow up in front of them. Here’s the kicker: Each blown up merchandise represented the teams Carolina faces each week.
For instance, week one’s announcement involved a massive stuffed teddy mimicking the Chicago Bears. Week two’s announcement saw the Atlanta Falcons represented by a bucket of peaches that meets its demolition fate. Even Terrible Towels representing the Steelers turned into ash and debris.
Should be a blast

Panther fans became energized after seeing the explosive schedule announcement. Including witnessing the upcoming national love Carolina will receive this season.
The NFL Playoffs team from 2025 earn three primetime games this fall, starting with the showdown against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football set for Oct. 4. Carolina hasn’t played in front of SNF cameras since Dec. 4, 2016 against the Seattle Seahawks. NBC also hasn’t appeared in Charlotte since Oct. 25, 2015 when Carolina defeated the Philadelphia Eagles during the Panthers’ NFC title run.
Head coach Dave Canales then will lead his team against the Green Bay Packers for a Week 8 Thursday Night Football game. Carolina’s third primetime contest pits the Panthers against traditional NFC South rival the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12.
Carolina fueled renewed optimism among its fanbase through last season’s postseason. The Panthers also earned an “A” grade in the draft. They showed Thursday they’re ready to set the 2026 gauntlet on fire, literally.
