Count Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes among those who want Kansas City Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia to be part of the 2025 MLB All-Star at Truist Park in Cumberland, Georgia, this coming July.
The three-time Super Bowl champion showed his support for the Venezuelan by sharing a post made by the Royals, asking fans online to vote for Garcia.
The 25-year-old Garcia also had a big night on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, as he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBIs. His three-run home run in the third inning erased a two-run Kansas City deficit and put the Royals in front for good, as they came away with a 6-3 victory.
With Mahomes' endorsement, the hope is that Garcia will get more people to help him become an All-Star in his fifth season in the big leagues.

Garcia has been one of the Royals' top contributors this season, as he leads all qualified Kansas Royals hitters with a .318 batting average to go with eight home runs and 36 RBIs.
His .877 OPS is also better than fellow Royals stars Bobby Witt's and Vinnie Pasquantino's.
Even though he's found superstardom by playing football, Mahomes has baseball close to his heart.
His father, Pat Mahomes, played in the majors as a pitcher. Additionally, the three-time NFL Most Valuable Player spent time as a pitcher for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and was even drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 2014 MLB draft.
