
Patrick Mahomes is widely regarded as one of the greatest quartebacks in NFL history.
Mahomes has spent his career chasing Super Bowl titles under head coach Andy Reid with the Kansas City Chiefs.
As the Chiefs attempt to make their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance, they defeated the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 30-17 victory over Detroit.
During the game, Mahomes became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to 300 combined touchdown passes, regular season and postseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs announced the news on social media.
"THIS. IS. QB1," posted the official social media account of the Kansas City Chiefs. "Congrats on being the fastest to 300, Patrick Mahomes."
After the news was announced, Patrick Mahomes shared his reaction to the career accomplishment.
"It’s extremely cool," Mahomes said, per Ed Easton at Chiefs Wire. "I’ve been blessed. I always say it and I mean it, ‘I’ve been blessed.’ I got drafted here in Kansas City, a great community, a great ownership and then getting one of the best football coaches of all-time and some of the greatest players of all-time around me... We’ve got a long career ahead and let’s see how many we can get to."

Patrick Mahomes has found incredible success with Andy Reid and several on-field stars during his time in the NFL, such as Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.
Throughout his career with the Chiefs, Mahomes has led his team to three Super Bowl titles and five AFC titles.
In his ninth season with the Kansas City Chiefs and his eighth season as the starter of the team, Patrick Mahomes has posted 11 touchdowns and 1,514 yards with a 64.8 completion percentage.
Mahomes has also added four touchdowns and 222 yards on the ground.
