Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Chiefs' Situation Amid NFL Season

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are chasing another Super Bowl.

They won it all in 2019, 2022 and 2023 but lost in the big game in 2020 and 2024.

Meanwhile, they've also won the AFC West division every season since 2016. The Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders have all had their fair shot but it's been the Chiefs coming out on top.

Mahomes has been the starting quarterback since 2018 and has been one of the main driving forces behind the Chiefs' success over the last decade.

On Wednesday, Mahomes spoke to the media and was asked about the division streak the Chiefs have.

The reason he was asked about it is because Kansas City is currently 5-4 on the season and sitting in third in the AFC West behind the Broncos (8-2) and the Chargers (7-3).

There are still eight games left to be played, but it's clear the streak is in danger of being snapped.

"That's always our first goal... Win the division... You have to go up against these really good football teams that have been scouting you all year long... We've got to continue to get better and better... Everything is out in front of us, we just have to go out there with the right mindset," Mahomes said.

The Chiefs have a big game coming on Sunday in Week 11. They'll head to Denver to face the Broncos.

Kickoff between the Chiefs and Broncos is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
