Patrick Mahomes responded to a dirty move pulled by Brian Branch on Sunday night.
Branch walked up to JuJu Smith-Schuster and smacked him at the end of the Week 6 “Sunday Night Football” game between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. Branch seemed to be on a mission because he walked right past Mahomes and ignored the quarterback, who was trying to exchange a postgame greeting.
Branch getting physical with Smith-Schuster led teammates from both sides to come and break things up.
After his Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Lions, Mahomes addressed the matter.
“We play the game in between the whistles. They can do all the extracurricular stuff they want to do, but we play the game in between the whistles,” Mahomes stated. “And we thought we played a great game today, and we’ll keep this momentum moving forward.”

Lions head coach Dan Campbell also condemned Branch for his actions at the end of the game.
Mahomes had a nice game for the Chiefs. He went 22/30 for 257 yards with three touchdown passes. He also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
