Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes limped off the field after suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. He’s questionable to return.
Carson Wentz replaced Mahomes, and it’s expected that Wentz will be under center for the remainder of the game.
On the play, Mahomes got hit by Browns defensive linemen Dalvin Tomlinson and Mike Hall Jr. at the same time and got bent backwards. It looked like Mahomes’ ankle got rolled up on.

Patrick Mahomes’ injury will be something to monitor, especially with the Steelers playing the Chiefs on Christmas Day at Acrisure Stadium. With a two-score lead, the Chiefs could be just playing it safe with Mahomes.
Mahomes told reporters this week that he does not feel good about a three-game stretch in 11 days.
“It’s not a good feeling,” Mahomes admitted on Wednesday, via The Associated Press. “You never want to play this amount of games in this short of time. It’s not great for your body. But at the end of the day it’s your job, your profession, you have to come to work and do it.”
All you can do is focus on the game. The practice you have that day,” Mahomes added. “I try to prepare my body all year long for this stretch. That’s tailoring my workouts, tailoring how you practice and prepare, and the coaches do a great job of taking care of us on the practice field. We practice as hard as anybody, but they know how to dial it back when needed.”
