Patrick Mahomes would welcome Aaron Rodgers joining AFC West?

Betting odds have linked Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers with the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders since rumors emerged during the draft that he may not play another down for his current employer.

Per Kevin Patra of the NFL's website, Kansas City Chiefs star signal-caller Patrick Mahomes told Bleacher Report's Kayla Nicole during his first annual "15 and the Mahomies Aloha Golf Classic" he would welcome the task of playing against the future Hall of Famer multiple times each fall.

"Obviously, it'd be awesome," Mahomes explained about Rodgers potentially joining a divisional opponent. "To have that challenge ... two times a year, every single year would be a great, great opportunity. I mean, he's a heck of a football player. He's been doing it for a long time that I've watched play and learned a lot from. But definitely, if he came to the AFC West, it would just make it a little tougher for us, but we're up to the challenge."

Stories continue to surface insisting Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst will not trade Rodgers, but the 37-year-old is skipping organized team activities and has allegedly told some within the organization that he doesn't plan to return to the team this summer. It's believed he's willing to sit out through the start of the regular season to force a trade if necessary, but doing so would likely cost him millions of dollars in fines and lost wages.
