Not only does the New England Patriots have a better roster than it did last season, but it is also well-positioned for success based on several other factors.
According to Warren Sharp's Strength of Schedule chart, the Patriots have the second easiest, only behind the San Francisco 49ers.
And then, there's the 2025-26 miles traveled per team, and New England is towards the bottom of that list with only 12,547.
So, when those two stats are put together, where does that leave the Patriots compared to the other NFL teams? Based on this chart, New England is in the best section of the grid and actually in the best position with low travel and easy strength of schedule.

That's the best news for Mike Vrabel and the Patriots as they look to get back on track and turn things around following back-to-back four win seasons.
And with that, Vegas has New England's win total at 7.5.
The Patriots have done all they can to clear out the old and usher in the new. It started with Vrabel and his coaching staff, but then extended into the players. The remaining players who were from the Super Bowl days are no longer on the roster. Instead, the team is focusing its attention on the youth.
The NFL even showed their support, giving the Patriots three primetime games, including one against one of the top teams in the league (aka Buffalo Bills).
A to Z Sports' game-by-game predictions for New England has the team ending the season at 11-6. That's definitely optimistic and isn't factoring in what could happen during the year regarding injuries and such, but with the roster they have now, New England is in a great position.
Could they be a wildcard team? Well based on this chart, it is definitely not out of the question
