Patriots QB Mac Jones unable to put weight on left leg after late INT

The Patriots lost their home opener to the Ravens on Sunday, and they may have lost their quarterback for the foreseeable future.

After throwing an interception that sealed Baltimore's win, Mac Jones limped to the sideline and was unable to put any weight on his left leg. He was later seen being helped into the locker room by two staff members and appeared to be in serious pain.

Replay showed Jones' left leg buckle as he was hit by Ravens DE Calais Campbell. The Patriots announced Jones is being evaluated for a leg injury but didn't reveal any further details.

Jones has gotten off to a shaky start this season, finishing with over 200 passing yards in each of the Patriots' first three games but tossing five interceptions. He threw three interceptions in the loss today, including a costly end zone pick to Marlon Humphrey with New England trailing by five.

The Patriots have longtime backup Brian Hoyer behind Jones on the depth chart, followed by rookie Bailey Zappe. Jones hasn't missed a game since entering the NFL last season.
