Patriots reportedly interested in Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts

The New England Patriots are looking for a quarterback to replace Tom Brady, and while they have second-year QB Jarrett Stidham and veteran Brian Hoyer in the fold, they may be looking at another solution in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Patriots are reportedly interested in adding Oklahoma product Jalen Hurts to their roster, according to the New York Post's Jaclyn Hendricks. Hurts is arguably the best quarterback available in the second round, so it's no surprise the Patriots are interested.

However, will Hurts be available with the 37th overall pick? It's quite possible, although they may also have their eyes on Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet ... especially considering that's one of their major needs at the moment.

Hurts threw for 3,851 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season for the Sooners, with a 69.7 completion percentage and 191.2 rating. He could very well win the starting gig in New England if the Patriots are willing to take a gamble on him, but it's hard to say.

Coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots still have plenty of holes to fill, but they have the most draft picks left of any team and tons of flexibility ... so be prepared for some interesting moves by New England Friday night.
