Patriots vs. Steelers Could Have Pretty Nasty Weather Sunday

According to Accuweather, there’s a 90% chance of precipitation Sunday afternoon with temperatures dropping to 62 degrees.

If the forecast doesn’t change, Sunday’s game could come down to which offense takes care of the football in slippery conditions. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel has already warned his players about T.J. Watt and the front seven of the Steelers.

“They’re going to be big inside, they’re going to be long and active on the edges,” Vrabel said, via Athlon Sports. “Defensively, if you better don’t take care of the edges, it’s going to be an issue. Strip sacks, interceptions, um, [Cam] Heyward and [T.J.] Watt have probably 64 PBUs in the last five years, and that’s pass rush PBUs. Their ability to create ball disruption even if they don’t get there. Great length, sound. They tackled well. They caused some turnovers.”

The Patriots started this season in brutal fashion, losing 13-10 to the Seattle Seahawks. They received a rough performance from Drake Maye, who threw a game-losing interception in the red zone.

Not only did the Patriots suffer a Week 1 loss, wide receiver A.J. Brown was placed on injured reserve. He’s expected to miss six weeks with a high ankle sprain.

We’ll see if the Patriots get their first win of the season Sunday.
