Saquon Barkley helped the Philadelphia Eagles unlock a trip to the Super Bowl during his first year with the organization.

Philadelphia finished the year with an 18-3 record, defeating the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.

At the culmination of their postseason run, the Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.

After an incredible season for Barkley and Philadelphia, Penn State's official social media account highlighted a historic accomplishment by the Eagles running back.

During the season, Barkley recorded the most all-time scrimmage yards in a single season, 2,857 yards, including the playoffs.

"26 is built different," posted Penn State.

During the regular season, Barkley posted 13 touchdowns and 2,005 yards on the ground along with two touchdowns and 278 yards through the air. He then recorded five rushing touchdowns, 499 rushing yards and 75 receiving yards in the postseason.

Given his consistently dominant stat line, Barkley was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

Before his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Barkley spent six years with the New York Giants and three years at Penn State.

During his time with the Nittany Lions, Barkley posted 43 touchdowns and 3,843 yards on the ground and 1,195 yards through the air.
