It's Wednesday, Sept. 17, which means the Kansas City Chiefs are back at practice for Week 3 against the New York Giants. It also means that star QB Patrick Mahomes is celebrating his 30th birthday.

He has accomplished quite a bit over the past 30 years, including becoming a three-time Super Bowl Champion, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, a two-time NFL MVP, a two-time First Team All-Pro, and a six-time Pro Bowler as the starting quarterback of the Chiefs. To celebrate his birthday, the team compiled some well-wishes from friends and family to share on social media. That group even included some former teammates.

"Slinging it better than anybody, Dad Bod and all," Alex Smith said. "Here's to the next decade, man. May it be filled with three more Super Bowl rings, a couple more MVPs, and maybe a few more kids.

"Remember what they say, you get better with age," Chad Henne said. "Henne-thing is possible. Have a great birthday. Best of luck this season. Go Chiefs."

"It was an honor getting to play with you early," Mitchell Schwartz said. "You're a great leader. It's been great watching you get better every single year for all the hardware. Thanks for all the memories."

The group of messages also included some former NFL stars who never played with Mahomes.

"It seems like just yesterday I was teaching you how to scramble outside the pocket. Throw on the run. Throw no-look, underhand, behind-the-back passes. Get cool haircuts," Peyton Manning joked. "I know what you're thinking: You didn't teach me any of that. Patrick, I'm sorry you're 30. The memory is starting to go. I just want to say you're welcome and happy birthday."

"Mahomes, feels like you've done the first 30 years of life better than any human in the history of humans has done the first 30 years of their life," Pat McAfee said. "You've done it better than anybody with class and empathy and Moxie. You're the man. Happy birthday. Thank you blessing us with your football abilities, and thank you being a great human."

There were also messages from some star players from other sports.

"So thankful for what you do for Kansas City," Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. said. "Hope you have a great day and keep doing your thing."

"You definitely don't look 30, you look 22, and you play like you're 22," David Beckham said. "I just want to say happy birthday. Have the best time with your teammates, with your family, your friends, your beautiful children, your wife, and everyone that wants to celebrate you today."

Perhaps the best message of all came from someone who isn't even human.

Of course, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes couldn't get out of speaking about the star quarterback's 30th birthday. Media members asked Coach Reid whether or not he got Mahomes a celebratory cheeseburger.

"It's hard to believe he's 30 years old," Reid told reporters on Wednesday. "Time flies. I asked him if he feels old, and he said that he feels the same. I told him that's a good thing because when you get to my age, you want to feel the same, doggone it."

Mahomes, asked about Reid's comments, had his own quip about still feeling the same at age 30.

"I've got kids, man," Mahomes joked. "I've been 30 forever."
