Philadelphia Eagles Announce Major Change To Their Jerseys For The 2026 Season

The Philadelphia Eagles are making a slight change to their jerseys for the upcoming 2026 NFL season.

Since the start of the new league year, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has dominated the trade rumor mill. Interestingly, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that he would “lean” toward the Eagles trading Brown.

While Philadelphia continues to monitor its options with Brown, the reigning NFC East champions have made an interesting change to their uniforms for 2026.

As noted by Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, Philly has added a black outline to the “Eagles” wordmark on the jerseys. Here’s the new look:

The Philadelphia Eagles have had their current logo and beloved “Midnight Green” jerseys since 1996. Before that, Kelly Green was the club’s primary color. From 1987 to 1995, their logo was a green-and-white eagle carrying a football.

Despite winning their second consecutive NFC East division crown in 2025, it was a mostly disappointing season for Nick Sirianni’s group.

One year after finishing with the seventh-best scoring offense, the Eagles dropped to 19th with only 22.3 points per game, via Pro Football Reference. Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley all had seasons below their standards.

Philly finished 11-6 to draw a favorable matchup in the Wild Card Round against the banged-up San Francisco 49ers. But Hurts and the offense were stymied in a 23-19 loss to Kyle Shanahan’s group.

It remains to be seen what the Eagles will do with Brown, but they certainly look ready to move on. They signed Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and traded for ex-Green Bay Packers standout Dontayvion Wicks, so make of that as you will.

The Eagles hold the No. 23 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Perhaps they’ll trade Brown and/or select another wide receiver with that selection.
