Philadelphia Eagles vs Minnesota Vikings DFS Showdown, October 19, 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to bounce back from their last two weeks of struggles and might have figured some things out through a meeting with the offense on Monday. As an Eagles fan, I hope they did, but it remains to be seen because they had months to figure things out and haven’t done it yet.

Anyway, they’re traveling to Minnesota to play a Vikings team that is coming off their bye week after back-to-back games in Europe with the Dublin game and a London game against the Browns. So with all of the preliminaries out of the way, here are the DFS picks for this Week 7 Matchup.

Lock of the Week

Oct 5, 2025; Tottenham, United Kingdom; Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (3) makes a catch for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns during the fourth quarter of an NFL International Series game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images

Jordan Addison ($5,100 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel)

Jordan Addison is going to be the huge play of the day because the Eagles’ No.2 cornerback is still a garbage watch for Eagles fans everywhere. And especially after WanDale Robinson and LILJORDAN HUMPRHEY WENT OFF LAST WEEK, THANK GOD QUINYON MITCHELL IS BACK AT PRACTICE SO HE CAN COVER JUSTIN JEFFERSON.

Because if Mitchell wasn’t back, this was going to be a double Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison lock paragraph. But Mitchell should take care of him, but Addison with Carson Wentz at Quarterback is going to be a good day for the former USC receiver.

Start’ Em

Saquon Barkley ($7,700 DraftKings, $8,700 FanDuel)

I think this is finally the week that Saquon is unleashed a bit, as the Vikings have been a porous run defense this season, although I’ve been a broken record about Barkley and his production and his potential. I think the Eagles’ offensive meetings could be a sign of the potential for their running game to get back on track, as they recognize the need to be effective on early downs. However, the metrics/fantasy analytics are signs that Barkley is a strong play this week in Minnesota.

Jordan Mason ($6,200 DraftKings, 6,900 FanDuel)

Even though the potential of Jalen Carter coming back to this game this week is a pretty good chance, the Philadelphia run defense has been a bit suspect a times this season, just look at Cam Skattebo’s performance last Thursday, as that is all you need to look at when it comes to that for proof. Do I think Jordan Mason is going to have that much production? No, but as a good mid-budget option in DFS this week, the Vikings running back is a great option this week with that matchup.

Justin Jefferson ($7,600 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel)

Even though Quinyon Mitchell is back, he might be a little hampered a tad, so I expect Jefferson to get some volume in this game still to test that hamstring injury of the Eagles’ star corner. It’ll be interesting to see this situation unfold on Sunday, but start Jefferson in DFS.

Sit’Em

T.J. Hockenson ($3,600 DraftKings, $5,300 FanDuel)

The Vikings Tight End Hockenson is a sit in this game as the Eagles linebackers have both been the best in pass coverage, especially to the Tight Ends. Both DraftKings and FanDuel have Philly the 3rd best defense against Tight Ends in Fantasy thus far this season. Also, Hockenson is not having that great of a year by himself. Sit Hockenson.

Fade of the Game

Devonta Smith ($5,700 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel)

I think this is probably the hardest fade choice I’ve had all year long. I could’ve faded Hockenson and sat Devonta Smith; that’s how close this decision was. But the Vikings are legit one of the best pass defenses in the NFL right now, and I think only one of the two top Eagles receivers is going to have a productive day, and I think that will be AJ Brown. I hate doing this to Smitty, but he’s unfortunately my fade of the game.
