Photo shows Baker Mayfield is barely taller than Russell Wilson
Your reminder that Mayfield isn't the archetype of a NFL quarterback. Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

One of the knocks against Baker Mayfield entering the NFL Draft is his height.

Mayfield is listed as 6-foot-1, which is on the shorter side for NFL quarterbacks. That has led to some comparisons to Russell Wilson and Drew Brees, two other “shorter” quarterbacks who have been successful in the NFL.

Well this photo shows exactly how much taller Mayfield is than Russell:

It’s not by much, but Mayfield does appear to be taller by an inch or two.

Mayfield’s height could be enough reason for doubters to avoid him in case they’re looking to a QB who has more of the prototypical type of body. But guys like Wilson and Brees have proven that you can win a Super Bowl and star in the league without being a giant. That should bode well for Mayfield, who believes he has something else in his favor.
