Although the Buffalo Bills failed to get over the hump that is the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL playoffs, there is no denying the incredible 2024 NFL season that quarterback Josh Allen just had. In fact, Allen finally won his first Associated Press' NFL Most Valuable Player award after it was announced Thursday night during the NFL Honors event at Saenger Theater in New Orleans.

Allen's parents, Joel and LaVonne Allen, were seen looking very proud of their son after his MVP win, as they should. With the MVP award now in his bag, Allen also became just the first player in 21 seasons to win the award despite having zero first-team All-Pro nods.

During the 2024 NFL regular season, the former Wyoming Cowboys star quarterback passed for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns with six interceptions on a 63.6 percent completion rate.

In addition, the 28-year-old Allen burned rubber for 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 102 carries, while leading Buffalo to a fifth consecutive title in the AFC East division.

However, Allen was not without stiff competition for the MVP award. He barely edged Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in the voting, with Allen getting 27 first-place votes while the latter had 23.

Allen and the Bills finished the regular season with a 13-4 record and won against the Denver Broncos and the Ravens in the NFL playoffs before getting eliminated by the Chiefs.
