The Pittsburgh Steelers will carry high expectations into the 2026 NFL season. After re-signing Aaron Rodgers to a one-year deal and adding Mike McCarthy as Mike Tomlin’s replacement on the sideline, the AFC North team looks ready to compete.
Pittsburgh won the division last season, but they hope to go further this season. After a busy offseason, they started preparing for the new campaign.
Rodgers is back on the field (with new haircut claims included), and the team is making eyebrow-raising moves, meanwhile.

Swinton has been coaching in the league since 2009. He had stops with the Rams, Chiefs, Broncos, Bears, 49ers, Lions, Cardinals, Chargers and Raiders before joining the Steelers.
Amid renewed expectations for McCarthy and Rodgers, the Steelers now have to find a replacement for Swinton.
