Since bursting onto the scene as a rookie in 2023, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has done nothing but break records and raise eyebrows across the league with his exceptional play.
However, Nacua recently made headlines for a different reason—comments he shared earlier this week.
During an appearance on the Join the Lobby podcast, Nacua got candid about his aspirations for his NFL career.
“It wouldn’t even be 10 years; maybe seven or eight,” Nacua said. “I think of Aaron Donald—going out on top would be super cool. But also, I want to have a big family. I want at least a starting five. I came from a big family, so I need five boys for sure. And I want to be an active part of their lives, as involved as I can be.”
The soon-to-be third-year pro set an NFL rookie record with 1,486 receiving yards and was on pace for another stellar season before a knee injury sidelined him for six games. By the end of the year, Nacua still finished with 990 receiving yards, 79 receptions, and three touchdowns.
Although Nacua’s viral comments sparked some controversy, the Rams' superstar wideout still has a bright and successful future ahead of him at just 23 years old. Above all, staying healthy will be key for the Pro Bowl pass-catcher heading into the 2025 season.
