Punches Thrown At Patriots-Colts Joint Practice On Tuesday

There were fireworks at this Tuesday's practice involving the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots.

Since the Colts and Patriots will kick off their preseasons against each other this Thursday, the two AFC squads have agreed to conduct joint practices. Unfortunately, this afternoon's session was temporarily placed on hold due to a fight.

According to Mark Daniels of MassLive, this Tuesday's joint practice went off the rails once Colts defensive end Durrell Nchami threw a punch.

Patriots defensive end Dre’Mont Jones, who had 43 tackles and seven sacks last season, was also involved in this scuffle.

"Colts DE Durrell Nchami just threw a punch at someone on the Patriots sideline. Looks like he’s being removed," Daniels wrote. "Colts blocked after the whistle on a kickoff drill, driving a Patriots player back to the sideline. I saw Dre’Mont Jones jump in and go after someone, sticking up for his teammate."

The Patriots are under the spotlight this season.

The 2025 season was a huge success for Mike Vrabel and the Patriots, make no mistake about it. The franchise went 14-3 and reached the Super Bowl before suffering a loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Now that Drake Maye has A.J. Brown and Romeo Dobbs on his side, the Patriots will come into the 2026 season with much higher expectations.

We'll see if the Patriots can live up to the hype. They'll begin their season on Sept. 9 against the Seahawks.
