QB Daniel Jones out vs. Browns; Giants to start Colt McCoy

In a must-win game for the New York Giants, Daniel Jones will be sidelined with ankle and hamstring injuries.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Giants are expected to start Colt McCoy against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Jones was limited in practice all week while McCoy saw an increased workload, taking snaps with the starters on offense.

Despite Jones' hamstring injury, the Giants decided to start him against the Arizona Cardinals. The 23-year-old wasn't great, throwing for just 127 yards before being replaced by McCoy.

The Giants started McCoy two weeks ago against the Seattle Seahawks, and he did enough to help New York get the upset 17-12 win. The 34-year-old completed 13 of 22 passes for 105 yards and one touchdown against one interception.

New York will also be without offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, who tested positive for COVID-19, and cornerback James Bradberry, who was placed on the reserve/COVID list after coming into close contact with someone who tested positive outside of the Giants organization.
